Remote Desktop applications for Android mobile devices -- a test

I tested two this morning:

Splashtop Remote (currently $4.99)
+ better quality stream
+ streams *sound* from the PC too
- only works over same WiFi config, as far I can tell (on Android. iPhone supposedly DOES work over 3G/4G, but I don't have to test)
+ appears to be the best choice of these two to stream movies and music from PC. Like, if it works on your PC, it will work flawlessly on this
- games work too but they can't be full screen. Must be window'd
- can't really play games without a mouse plugged into phone/tablet for those types of games,  or a controller for those types

* Very good for streaming media of all types, due to sound transfer

TeamViewer (currently free)
+ seems like a lighter footprint on the base PC, if that matters for your environment
+ works flawlessly over 3G/4G and over WiFi. You may adjust the quality up to something close to the PC's level
- lower quality stream than Splashtop -- e.g. even over WiFi, it's stuttery during videos
- does not stream audio from PC to mobile device
+ also has remote file sharing built in

** Very good for work conditions, due to ability to function over 3G/4G and due to remote file sharing

Gonna use both for the time being, depending on the situation
